My Story
In 2019, I founded the Atlanta chapter of Radical Adventure Riders (RAR) with the goal of making cycling and outdoor adventures more accessible to everyone. As a co-manager of 20+ RAR chapters worldwide, I’m dedicated to fostering a welcoming and equitable community for all.
My journey began as a bike commuter in 2011, and my first bikepacking trip in 2018 ignited a passion for outdoor exploration. Since then, I've bikepacked across the US and internationally. I've also had the privilege of working with incredible brands on various projects, from video and photo shoots to product modeling.
I'm committed to using my skills and experiences to make a positive impact on the world. Whether it's organizing events, leading workshops, or simply inspiring others to get outside, I'm always striving to create a more inclusive and equitable future.

Hi, I'm Devin!
My name is Devin Cowens (she/her) and I reside on the ancestral lands of the Muscogee Creek Nation, today known as Atlanta, Georgia. I focused my effort and energy on creating space, providing more opportunities and directing resources towards BIPOC folks and queer folks, especially in the outdoors.
I’m an event planner by day, community organizer by night, and all around connector of people. I am the founder and co-organizer of the Atlanta chapter of Radical Adventure Riders in 2019; and co-manage the 20 RAR chapters across the United States and Australia. The goal of Radical Adventure Riders is to create more inclusive spaces in the cycling community by moving toward enhancing gender inclusivity and racial equity in the bicycle and outdoor adventure scene. We especially seek to center the experiences of Black, Indigenous, and People of color (BIPOC), queer, trans, and nonbinary riders

I am passionate about my interests, which include but are not limited to community building, nature, cycling, running, birding, bikepacking, coffee, and creating change

I love Coffee!
When I am not doing all the things, you can find me birdwatching and gardening!
